
Friendship concert in Hanoi a success!
Transposition’s annual Friendship Concert in Vietnam took place the 25. and 26. September in Hanoi, Vietnam. After rehearsing about a week, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, two musicians from the Royal Norwegian Military Band and the Norwegian conductor Terje Mikkelsen presented a spectacular concert to a cheering audience at the Hanoi Opera House. After the concert, it was said that this concert was the best the orchestra had ever presented.

World premiere of a commisioned work from the young Vietnamese comtemporary composer Vu Nath Tan: Hanoi, Hanoi ….and Hanoi
Max Bruch: violin concerto no 1 in G minor, Op 26. Soloist Bui Cong Duy
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Symphony no 4 in F- minor, Op 36
Present at the concert was the Deputy Director General Nguyen Phuong Hoa from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, the Norwegian Ambassador Mr Ståle T. Risa, the Swedish Ambassador and several other representatives for other european embassies in Hanoi.
